Choose your class · Build your loadout · Outsmart your opponent
Fighter lands a Crit Bash for 115 damage, Round 7 of 12
Choose your class and starting skill from three options. Stack healing, survive with shields, hit big crits, or find your own playstyle across a sea of options.
Every round the Fairy offers three enchantments. Apply burns, slows, stuns, and more to your items and abilities to reshape your build on the fly. One free per round, plus one more if you pay.
Earn Gold and XP from wins, losses, and streaks. Spend Gold on items and XP on abilities. Level them up by buying duplicates of the same tier.
Items and abilities fire on independent cooldowns in a resource and passive based system. Chain combos, trigger additional damage, and watch dynamic fights resolve.
If the fight drags past 30 seconds, escalating damage hits both fighters, forcing aggressive builds and preventing stalemates.
Win six rounds to claim victory and prove you're strong enough to join the Guild. Up to 12 rounds of adapting, countering, and outbuilding your opponent.
Guild of Old Magick is a live text-only 1v1 auto battler. Choose a class at the start, then build your loadout between rounds: spend Gold to buy items from shops, and use XP to buy abilities. Pick a new skill after every battle. First to 6 round wins takes the match.
You start by choosing a class and one starting skill from three options, which sets the direction of your build. Then you play a practice round that doesn't count toward the race to 6. It helps you feel out your build and sets the tempo for the match.
Between every round, you shop across three stores. The Gold Shop sells items and weapons. The XP Shop sells abilities. The Fairy Shop is where you enchant, applying keywords like Blazing, Vampiric, or Swift directly onto items and abilities in your inventory to reshape what they do.
You get one free enchant from the Fairy every round, with the option to buy a second for Gold and XP. That's the cap, two enchants per round, max. Each item or ability can hold up to two enchanted keywords total.
After each battle, both players earn Gold and XP based on wins, losses, and streaks. Then you pick a new skill from three offers: two from your class pool and one from the shared Basis pool. Skills are a free passive layer that don't take inventory space, so your build grows in two dimensions: the items and abilities you fight with, and the skills quietly powering them up underneath.
The core loop is: Income, Shop, Battle, Results, Skill Pick, Repeat. First to 6 round wins takes the match, with up to 12 rounds of back-and-forth.
Guild of Old Magick is free and text-based, so players from anywhere in the world can jump in as long as they have a working phone or PC. That lightweight approach lets development focus on what actually makes the game fun: deep build customization, smart counterplay, and high replayability.
The Enchantment system is the backbone of that replayability. Because each match offers different enchant options, players can adapt their builds in flexible ways, creating more room to experiment, counter strong strategies, and discover new combinations. That variety helps metas feel less rigid and less "solved," since there are always multiple paths to fight back or pivot.
Auto battlers have become one of the premier competitive genres, and Guild of Old Magick aims to deliver that core experience: buildcraft, adaptation, and outplaying your opponent, without asking players to pay the growing cost of modern games.
